VIRGIL ABLOH DEATH: LOUIS VUITTON AND OFF-WHITE MENSWEAR DESIGNER DIES OF CANCER AT 41

Virgil Abloh, The Off-White’s founder and Louis Vuitton Men’s artistic designer has died on the 28th November 2021.
The first African-American to ever reach senior levels in a French luxury fashion house was privately battling cancer since diagnosed in 2019.
In addition to being an amazing designer, Virgil was also known for his beautiful soul and devotion to open doors for others.  He often said, “Everything I do is for the 17-year-old version of myself,” believing deeply in the power of art to inspire future

This tragic event once again demonstrates how public figures can have an impact on the fashion market place; as previously seen when Kobe Bryan died, Nike went fully sold out
According to Stock X, following Virgil Abloh’s passing, there was an increased interest in products related to the icon.
 As examples,
Off-White Air Jordan 1 “Chicago,” originally priced at $5,000, went straight to $10,600 in some sizes straight after the new broke on Sunday.

The Off-White x Air Jordan 2 released weeks ago was around $700. Today, some sizes are selling for $1,250.

We are sending love and support to Virgil's friend and family.
He changed the game. Thank you for inspiring the world.
