Where do I start…

After a lot of thought, I made the decision to close the Lewisham store in May 2025 — my home for nine years.

That wasn’t easy.

There were a lot of factors involved. Bills up. Footfall down. Ongoing redevelopment uncertainty. The resale market becoming flooded. Fakes everywhere.

Sneaker culture has changed a lot recently. I was active during a real boom period between 2019–2022, and I’ll always be grateful for that 🙏🏻. But right now it’s tighter. Margins are squeezed. Competition is heavy.

Closing the store lowered my overheads, which means my pricing is now super competitive. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy. The market has matured — and it’s tougher.

What hasn’t changed is my reputation.

Authenticity has never been questioned at Crep Select — and never will be. Unfortunately, the market is now flooded with fakes, and too many people don’t even question where their pairs are coming from 🫣. That’s not how I’ve ever operated.

Another passion of mine has always been UK music culture. That scene has changed too, become less monetised, and that definitely affected the vibe and signature of the store.

But the business is still running.

Still making moves.

Just leaner. More controlled. Smarter.

Crep Select is also officially for sale. The brand is solid. The reputation is proven. If you feel like you’ve got the minerals to take it to the next level, serious enquiries are welcome.

I’m always looking ahead as well. New opportunities are coming. Coffee and crypto will definitely be part of my future plans 😎.
